All finishers receive a BBQ prepared by the Fresno County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Team! Event is chip timed and winners will receive unique brass compasses!  What better way to escape the oppressive Valley heat in August then to enjoy the coolness of the mountains at 5,400 feet elevation.  Register on-line here or print downloadable entry form. To expedite packet pickup please print additional waiver and bring with you.

The 5K WILD RUN will start on Fishing Club Rd heading north towards the lake. It will make a couple of turns in a “Z” formation and continue on the dirt road wrapping around the point at the lake and continuing until the road ends. You're thinking "Nice Trail Run"...  get ready for the challenge the course goes off road through the forest, encountering “obstacles”, navigating a couple of steep hillside scrambles, and connecting to another trail which will lead you south to the finish line where the course started.  Are you ready for a Wild Run?

The 10K TRAIL RUN is a
challenge adventure run through the beautiful Sierra scenery with a nice dose of elevation drops and climbs. It will start at the same area but will start on the “perimeter” trail and head in a south westerly direction. It will cross Swanson Meadow, through the forest at Camp Chawanakee. From there you will proceed to Nevins Peninsula, with views of Dorabelle Cove where you will make a large loop and continue on secondary trails back to Swanson Meadow and the “perimeter” trail to the finish. You will enjoy the beauty of this 10K Trail Run... and of course like the 5K Wild Run you will be chip timed.

The 16K MOUNTAIN BIKE TIMED RIDE course will leave in the same direction as the 5K, but as riders reach the top of the “Z” they will immediately make a right turn and follow the dirt road along the south side of the lake. When you arrive at S Fork Stevenson Creek you will turn left across the bridge and then go right onto the secondary dirt road where you will gain elevation and see some wonderful views of the lake. You continue on this road until it comes to an intersection at which point you will turn left and then you will connect to the single-track Lake Shore Trail. From there you will follow this intermediate trail along the lake’s edge, traverse some switchbacks, do a few climbs, go in and out of the forest and then connect with another access road which will bring you back to the bridge. At that point you will take the road back to the start.
A Bike check will be available for those doing two events.

The 2 MILE FAMILY HIKE will go out the same
direction as the 10K, but will instead follow a nice wide path north. The participants will walk through wooded areas making wide switchbacks towards the lake. Elevation change will be about 300-350’ downhill over the course of a mile. You will arrive at the lakes edge and when you are ready to return, will follow the same path back up to the course starting point. (Not timed)

Each of the courses will begin and finish in the same area, approximately a few hundred yards off Dinkey Creek Rd, on Fishing Club Rd.
Dinkey Creek Rd and Hwy 168 are approximately 45 minutes from Fresno.  Fishing Club Rd is approximately 3.2 miles up Dinkey Creek Rd. There is plenty of parking near the start.
